The Mindfulness Project is coming to Europe!
If you enjoyed the Mindfulness Project in Thailand and want to relive the experience, this one is for you!
Christian and Anja are coming to Germany in summer 2021 and will bring the spirit of the Mindfulness Project with them!
Arrive: 09.07.2021 at 6:00pm
Depart: 11.07.2021 at 4:00pm
We have a beautiful previous volunteer called Henri who has a little plot of land in Potsdam. He has offered up this plot of land, which is his home, for us to use for this weekend! For free!
We love Henri and thank him for his generosity!
It is 35 kms from Berlin, and 285 kms from Hamburg.
There is an outdoor kitchen, 3 toilets, space for plenty of tents, and some chickens 🙂
What to expect:
They are offering a beautiful 3 day event which will recreate the Mindfulness Project system. It will include all the things you know and love about the Project; yoga and meditation in the mornings, talking circles and teachings, all within the Buddhist philosophy that guides the principles of the Project.
It’s basically the Mindfulness Project on Tour!
This weekend is open to all previous volunteers, their friends, their family, and anyone who may be interested in what the Mindfulness Project has to offer but cant make it to Thailand yet. Bringing your friends and family from back home will give them a new level of understanding about your journey while you have been away.
Its the perfect opportunity to meet other MP volunteers, you automatically have something in common with them, and it will also be a great reminder of that awesome travel feeling if you are struggling to readjust to being at home.
To keep costs down, we are intending to be super self sufficient and camp!
- Talking circles
- Men’s and women’s circle
- Task force sessions
- Good food
- Great company
- Self development
What to bring:
As mentioned this will be a camping weekend so please bring the following:
- Sleeping bag
- Sleeping mat
- Warm clothes
- Towel and toiletries
- Head torch
- Food (we will create a list of what is needed and you can choose what to bring from that list)
- Notepad and pen
- Food container, fork, spoon, mug
- Reusable water bottle
The Mindfulness Project is all about community. To recreate this vibe in Germany, we are asking everyone who attends to contribute to the weekend in some way, such as each person bringing a food item.
We intend to share the cost of the weekend between all who attend. This mean that we cannot say just yet how much the total will be, as many things still need to be planned.
€100 of the price goes to support the Instructors and the Mindfulness Project. We wouldn’t be able to continue to do what we do without creating income from events like these.
We anticipate that the cost wont be much more than €150 requested, but we can update you closer to the time when more arrangements have been made.
If the price goes above what you are able to commit to, you can cancel your spot up to the price being finalised.
To be able to start organising things, we are asking for a €50 deposit to reserve your spot. The remainder can be paid in cash on arrival.
Alternatively you can pay the €150 up front and there will be a lot less to pay when you arrive 🙂
Cancellations possible until the price has been finalised. An email will be sent informing you of the final price and you have one week from that date to cancel your spot and receive a full refund.
To be decided:
We are in the beginning stages of planning this event, so some details are not yet finalised. Right now we want to get expressions of interest so we know roughly how many people to expect.
We still need to plan things like food and who brings what, extra facilities like toilets for the ladies, etc. And we could use some help to do it.
If you are happy to help us, please get in touch.
We are super excited to take the Mindfulness Project outside of Thailand for the first time. We hope you are too. Our wish is to recreate the atmosphere and community of the Project in Thailand, at home in Germany to spread the spirit in the West.
This is truly a friendship tour where we hope to connect like minded people who have experienced the Project, and those who are interested. It will build a support network of people in Germany and across Europe.
The task force sessions are intended as a way to introduce charity and outreach work at home.
We also intend this to be a regular event for the future. You guys will be our guinea pigs and if it all goes well, we can look at taking the Friendship tour to more and more countries in the years to come!
